Open Heavens Calgary 2026 is hosted by New Covenant Assembly (NCA), Calgary, Alberta. This page explains what personal information this website collects, why, who handles it, and how to ask us about it.

What we collect, and why

We only ask for what a feature needs. Nothing is collected just by reading the site.

  • Parking pass: name, email, and the details needed to issue and check your pass.
  • Shuttle seats and the shuttle waitlist: name, email, phone number, the departure and the number of seats, so we can confirm your seat and reach you if a departure changes.
  • Stream reminder: your email address and language, so we can send the reminder before the live stream.
  • Prayer requests and decisions: the details you choose to share, including a first name, optional contact details and your message. Prayer requests are handled by NCA's pastoral care team.
  • OHC 2026 Collection waitlist: email, optional first name, size and optional colour, so we can tell you when the collection is available again.
  • Plan my route: if you ask us to email your plan, your email address and the plan itself.
  • Newsletter and updates: only if you tick the box or subscribe. You can opt out at any time.
  • Ask OHC: the questions you type, their language and whether they were answered, kept for 90 days to improve the answers. We do not store your IP address, and messages that look like a crisis are not stored as text.
  • Find your campus: if you tap “use my location”, your device’s position is used inside your browser to find the nearest campus. We do not receive or store it.

How we use it

We use your information to run the event features you asked for (passes, seats, reminders, replies), to look after you pastorally when you ask for prayer, and to keep the service safe. We send marketing or updates only if you opted in. We do not sell your information.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner. It stores a language preference so the page opens in the language you chose, and your browser may keep a few small settings on your device (for example, your audience choice) that never leave it.

We measure visits with Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal information. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots; it may briefly check your browser to do that.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), Resend (email), Upstash (rate limiting), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection), Plausible (analytics) and YouTube (embedded videos and the live stream). They process information only to provide their service to us. Some of them store data outside Canada, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as the event and its follow-up need it, then delete or anonymize it. Ask OHC questions are deleted after 90 days. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted. Every email we send for updates carries a way to opt out. To make a request, write to the church office at the address below and we will respond promptly.

Security

Pages are served over HTTPS, access to administration tools is limited to NCA team members, and private links (such as your pass and seat links) use secret codes that cannot be guessed. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the contact forms beyond what is needed.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. If a young person gives us information, a parent or guardian can ask us to remove it.

Changes and contact

We may update this page as the event approaches; the date above shows the latest version. Questions or requests: the NCA church office at the email address below.
